Monique's House

My grandmother, Monique, moved into this gorgeous one-level 1940s home in Atherton, California, over 50 years ago. In that time, mansions have sprouted in every direction, towering over this quaint, cherished abode.

Frozen in time, this home holds deep meaning across my large extended family; a place each of us have grown up and spent priceless afternoons playing cards in the backyard under a tree older than us all.

The pyramid structure is a piece of art that my grandfather, Roger, designed. Each night when dusk falls, the pyramid lights up, a soft "hello" from my grandfather.
